Looking for a Travefy Alternative? An Honest Comparison

Travefy is an all-in-one platform; VoyageLine is a cruise proposal specialist. Here's a fair look at what each does best, pricing, and which advisors should pick which.

Josh Wright

Disclosure: we make VoyageLine, so weigh this accordingly. We've tried to be genuinely fair, including about the cases where Travefy is the better choice — and there are real ones.

Verify current pricing on Travefy's site; both products change.

The honest framing

This isn't a like-for-like comparison, and pretending otherwise would waste your time.

Travefy is an all-in-one platform. Proposals, a drag-and-drop itinerary builder, CRM, client communication, a content library of supplier hotel and destination material, and a basic website builder. Around $39/month on annual billing.

VoyageLine is a cruise proposal specialist. One job: turn messy supplier cruise pricing into a polished, branded proposal your client opens on their phone — fast.

So the real question isn't "which is better." It's which problem is actually costing you hours right now.

Where Travefy genuinely wins

  • Breadth. If you want one login for clients, itineraries, proposals and a website, Travefy covers ground we don't. We have no CRM and no website builder, and we're not planning to.
  • The itinerary builder. For multi-component land trips — hotels, transfers, tours, day-by-day sequencing — their drag-and-drop builder is the best in this category. If you build complex FIT itineraries, that's a serious tool.
  • The content library. Supplier-provided hotel and destination content saves real time on land trips.
  • Maturity. It's widely used and well established. That counts for something.

If you sell mostly land, or your bottleneck is client and trip management rather than proposal creation, Travefy is probably the right answer and you can stop here.

Where we're different

Cruise-native structure

Travefy is built for travel broadly. Cruise is a trip type it supports; it isn't what the product is shaped around.

VoyageLine is shaped around cruise. Stateroom categories, decks, ports, sea days and scenic cruising are first-class parts of the layout, backed by a ship and cabin catalog. If you've ever wrestled a cruise's cabin options into a general-purpose itinerary builder, you know the difference.

Getting the data in

This is the piece advisors underestimate. Cruise pricing arrives as a forwarded BDM email or a screenshot of a fare grid — not as tidy structured data.

VoyageLine takes a pasted email, a dropped screenshot, or manual entry and extracts the ship, sailing dates, itinerary, cabin categories and fares. You review every field before anything is saved. The time saved isn't in the layout — it's in never retyping the source.

Pricing model

| | VoyageLine | Travefy | |---|---|---| | Free to start | 3 proposals, no card | trial | | Pay-as-you-go | $2 / proposal | none — subscription only | | Unlimited | $30 / month | ~$39 / month | | Team | $19 per advisor/mo | per-user pricing |

The meaningful difference is the pay-as-you-go option. If you send four cruise proposals a month, that's $8 with us versus a full subscription elsewhere. Seasonal advisors — and cruise is deeply seasonal — tend to feel that.

If you're sending twenty a month, the two unlimited prices are close enough that the decision should come down to fit, not cost.

Agency controls

If you run a host agency or team: your logo on every advisor's proposal, required disclosures added automatically and non-removable by the advisor, an advisor directory with invite links, and control over which templates your team can use.

Can you use both?

Yes, and some advisors should. Travefy for client management and land itineraries; VoyageLine for cruise proposals. At $2 a proposal there's no subscription to justify — you spend a couple of dollars only on the cruise quotes you actually send.

That's a genuinely reasonable setup, and we'd rather tell you that than pretend you have to rip out a tool that's working.

Which fits you

Stay with Travefy if: you need CRM and client management, you build complex land itineraries, you want one platform for everything, or the content library is doing real work for you.

Switch (or add) VoyageLine if: cruise is most of your book, your bottleneck is turning supplier emails and screenshots into client-ready proposals, you want cruise-specific structure, you send irregularly enough that per-proposal pricing beats a subscription, or you need agency brand and disclosure controls.
